# Activation Code doesn't show when I use ROOMS API Call

When I use the “[https://api.zoom.us/v2/rooms](https://api.zoom.us/v2/rooms)” API call… The activation code is not listed in the JSON response.

This is an example of what I get…

“id”: “1XDRmYaMRR6xS63wVS5FyA”,

Why don’t I see the activation code???

I figured out why the Activation Code was not showing with the API call.

I didn’t realize that the activation code expires. So the activate code won’t show if it has expired.

Is it possible to regenerate the Activation Code for the Zoom Room using an API call?

At the moment, this is not possible via API.

Is there a way to clear the Activation Code manually via API or the Admin pages, or do we have to wait out the 10 day period.

It’s not possible to make changes/clear the activation code via API. However, you might consider reaching out to our [Support Team](https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/requests/new) for questions on attempting this via the Zoom Portal.
