# Add transcripts to voicemail

Would like to see transcripts of voicemail, for consumption by external apps.

My usage is to be able to log / display a voicemail transcript in Slack. Slack is being used a general logger of incoming phone activity and allows the end user to quickly review the state of all calls/issues. The text is much easier review quickly while scrolling rather than having to repeatedly download and listen to each recording.

**Describe the solution you’d like**  
Ideally a link to download the transcript would be included in the existing **Voicemail Received** webhook. I imagine however that transcriptions is an async process separate from recording so even a ‘Voicemail transcript ready’ webhook after the fact would be fine (with a download link and reference to the original voice mail )
