# API USERS NEEDS TO LOG IN TO START A SESSION

Hello,

after the Zoom client update (windows and chrome), API users which where created using custCreate action&nbsp;are asked to login&nbsp;to&nbsp;start a meeting.

It’s working with this version: 4.1.24919.0521

But not with this one:&nbsp;4.1.31275.0831

For example, if you have version&nbsp;4.1.24919.0521 and you paste this link in your browser, the browser will ask to open Zoom and then the session will start.&nbsp;

zoommtg://zoom.us/start?browserbrowser=Chrome&confno=512401307&zc=0&stype=99&sid=7b3HgTvQSdK2xniMWQnGHw&uid=7b3HgTvQSdK2xniMWQnGHw&token=7aa2nbdJovecbRykzwYODk058iAC0WqJw7UuBOOIM6A.BgQgRkU3Q0tuS2xXWk9KMTRBLzRLMmZVRTZ3bzNJTDMzb0YAAAwzQ0JBdW9pWVMzcz0A&uname=Moderator

If you do the same with version&nbsp;4.1.31275.0831, browser asks to open Zoom but then Zoom asks the user to enter a meeting ID or to log in.

&nbsp;You will need to append the zak to the start meeting url. To get the zak please refer to our user token api -&nbsp;[https://zoom.github.io/api/#retrieve-a-users-token](https://zoom.github.io/api/#retrieve-a-users-token)
