# Cannot enable closed captions while using meeting API

**API Endpoint(s) and/or Zoom API Event(s)**

**Description**  
_I am using the above API to update account settings and schedule meeting but the closed caption still remains turned off. Manually turning it on works but I want to manage that via API._
