# Capture chat messages

Is there anyway to capture chat messages and submit them to an external API from within the zoom client?

Hi @Ferg,

To clarify, are you referring to in-meeting chat, or chat messages sent within the Zoom Client, external to meetings?

Actually, this can be retrieved via API using the following endpoint:

Hey @Ferg,

Do you mean a tool to list a user’s chat messages from within the Zoom Client UI? If so, I’m afraid not. But let me know if I’m misunderstanding!
