# Contact Center Call Transcripts

I am looking to access our Contact Center call transcripts via the API. I need the transcript in json or txt format in order to properly process the data. I don’t see any reference to the call transcripts on the contact center API page and the only endpoint I have been able to find is downloading a VTT file.

Hi @Tom6 ,

Currently we only provide the transcript in VTT however, you can check out some sample code to to convert to JSON that’s compatible with your codebase: [Repository search results · GitHub](https://github.com/search?q=vtt%20to%20json&type=repositories)

@gianni.zoom is there a reason why Zoom Contact Center transcripts are in VTT but the Zoom Phone Transcripts are in JSON?

Hmm not sure @Tom6 , but these are owned by different product and engineering teams. Meeting cloud recording transcripts are also in VTT–I’ll reach out for more clarity and if we can make standardize transcript types across products.
