# Create meeting - Host

Hey @vipin.kaushik,

If you would like to assign an [Alternative Host](https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/208220166-Alternative-host) via the [Create a Meeting API](https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/api-reference/zoom-api/meetings/meetingcreate), you can:

You can also use the schedule\_for parameter from the [Update a Meeting API](https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/api-reference/zoom-api/meetings/meetingupdate) to change the host of an existing meeting:
