# errorCode:1, errorMessage: "Invalid signature."

**Description/Error**  
I am trying to test Zoom Web SDK and followed the exact steps stated here: [https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/sdk/native-sdks/Web-Client-SDK/api-reference](https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/sdk/native-sdks/Web-Client-SDK/api-reference). However, I still encountered error code: 1, and the error message was “invalid signature.” I did not change the javascript code copied from the Github except for replacing “your API key and secret” with my own.  
A friend of mine suggested that maybe I needed to do something with OAuth, but it was not stated in the instructions.

Are you using a [JWT App Type for the API key and secret](https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/guides/getting-started/app-types/create-jwt-app)?
