# Fetching chat messages in a date range

Consider making it possible to specify a date range for messages to be fetched in the [List User Chat Messages](https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/api-reference/zoom-api/chat-messages/getchatmessages) endpoint.

**Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.**  
At the moment, we need to call the API for each individual day’s message.  
If I wanted to fetch a year’s worth of messages, I would have to make over 300 API calls.
