# Granular Scopes - Missing team\_chat:write:members

Hi,

Currently, I’m trying to use the API to add people to a private channel, but I haven’t found a way to do it, I tested the `POST /chat/channels/{channelId}/members`, but the required scope (team\_chat:write:members) does not seem to be able for use.

**Error:**  
Invalid access token, does not contain scopes:[team\_chat:write:members]
