# Hiding Chat Option

**Description**  
Is there a way to hide the chat option while using the Default UI? I have checked the documentation but I can’t seem to find a way of doing it, however, there does seem to way to do it with the iOS SDK

`MobileRTC.shared().getMeetingSettings()?.meetingChatHidden = true`

**Which Android Meeting SDK version?**  
v5.9.3.4273

Is the [`disableChatUI`](https://marketplacefront.zoom.us/sdk/meeting/android/us/zoom/sdk/MeetingSettingsHelper.html#disableChatUI-boolean-) method what you are looking for?
