# How can we get recordings password using python API

Hi Team,

Can anyone please tell how can we get the password for our zoom recordings.  
I am able to get the recording link using API with JWT but not able to get password associated with that recording

Can anyone please tell me how can i get that.  
I don’t want to download the recording but interested in just putting the link with password on some platform in case if anyone has to see the recording

Have you tried calling the Get meeting recordings endpoint?

Hi @elisa.zoom, yes i tried Get meeting recordings endpoint and i am able to get the download url using the access token. But what it does is, it downloads the content if anyone accesses that link.

What i am looking is recording password so that instead of downloading, anyone can play the recording using the link and recording password.

Can you suggest how can i get the recording password from zoom api
