# How creating meeting without a password or passcode

Hi everyone, my problem is that I would like to create meetings without passcode. I am using the / users / {userId} / meetings api. I do not send the password in the request, however it seems that the meeting has an automatic password anyway. You can help me?

Thanks for reaching out! If you would like to create a meeting without a passcode, you’ll be required to have a waiting room enabled instead. You can see an overview of the different scenarios for meeting creation and how to enable or disable a password here:
