# Identifying User Type

**Description/Error**  
Is there a way to determine what type of license has been assigned to a user after their license has been created via CustCreate. Looking to identify if they are an API minutes user or a Named Host user. Can provide specific email addresses if that is helpful.

Hey @marcus.barela,

There is a type returned from the GET user API:

> Scopes: user:read:admin user:read
