# Invalid access token - unable to proceed

Hi ,

I am getting  
{“code”:4700,“message”:“Invalid access token, does not contain scopes: [chat\_message:write, zms:chat\_message:write]”}

even that I have added the scopes in my app.

End points:  
[https://api.zoom.us/v2/users](https://api.zoom.us/v2/users)

Would need immediate assistance

Hey there, I had a similar problem. Once you change the scope, your users who were active before the scope change need to reauthorise your app. It’s described here: [https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/guides/publishing/app-submission/upgrading](https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/guides/publishing/app-submission/upgrading)

It helped me, so hopefully it works for you too!
