# Meeting not started!

Hey @danish, happy to help!

You can [start a meeting with the Web SDK](https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/sdk/native-sdks/Web-Client-SDK/getting-started/join-a-meeting#set-your-meeting-config-object).

To start a meeting with the [sample web app](https://github.com/zoom/sample-app-web) follow these steps,

`$ git clone https://github.com/zoom/sample-app-web.git`  
`$ cd sample-app-web/CDN`  
`$ npm install`  
`$ npm run start`

Enter your API\_Key and API\_Secret in the `js/index.js` file.

Change the `role` on the `meetConfig` object to `1` to start a meeting as a host.

Refresh your browser, and enter **your** meeting ID in the meeting number input and click the blue Join button. This will start your meeting via the Web SDK.
