I am trying to build a Zoom app–i.e. runs **inside** Zoom–that runs on both Windows and Mac desktops (and iOS and Android later). I intend to create a shared window with custom drawing (3D graphics) that all the members of the meeting can see and control (sorta like a whiteboard).

Do I need to create two different Zoom apps for each platform (via the two different toolkits)?

Is there sample code for creating a simple “custom shared whiteboard”?
(I intend to draw my own 3D graphics instead of typical 2D whiteboard drawing)

Thanks!

Hi @Ricarious,

The capability you’re looking to develop sounds like a good use case for Zoom Apps, which we are hoping to release shortly. Please see my post here:

> Hi @irina2, Thanks for reaching out about this! What you’re describing sounds like our [Zoom Apps](https://explore.zoom.us/docs/en-us/zoom-apps.html) capability. As Zoom Apps are still in a closed beta while we prepare for General Availability, this is not yet available. We are hoping, however, to have more details on timing for GA very shortly. Once released for GA, you will see this integration capability offered in our developer marketplace, along with documentation and other resources. We’re getting close—stay tuned! tv slight_smile T…

Thanks!
Will
