# Retrieve closed caption transcript

Hi, Is there a way to retrieve the full transcript of my recording via the API token i copied? apparently i can paste the token to a third party captioning tool and get the recording transcript but i’m really not sure of how to do this. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi @oria.oyedemi,

Currently, the only way to retrieve the transcript for a meeting recording is via our Cloud Recording API — this would require JWT or OAuth credentials to authorize the request:
