# Start a meeting by API

How do I start a meering by Zoom API

App Type : JWT

I created a meeting by Zoom api and set the paramter value as follows:  
join\_before\_host : false

What should I do to start the meeting via API?

Hi @vinowang,

If you’ve created a meeting via API, the response will return a `start_url` field. This URL is what you will use to start the meeting.
