# TIMELINE creation criteria

**Description**  
Can I get some clarification for the criteria of the creation of a `TIMELINE` file alongside a cloud recording?

According to the documentation for `Get meeting recordings`:

> To get a timeline file, the “Add a timestamp to the recording” setting must be enabled in the recording settings.

However, my testing is not showing this to be the case. Regardless of whether “Add a timestamp to the recording” is enabled or not, I am only seeing a `TIMELINE` file generated when “Create audio transcript” is enabled.

Is this an error in the documentation or am I missing some other setting for this? Thanks!

In case it’s helpful for the Zoom folks, here are some sample meetings that I tested with:

- `rN7r4lf6TzaDsUTcpLFZ7g==`: “Create audio transcript” enabled, “Add a timestamp to the recording” disabled, `TIMELINE` generated
- `WGldMqKtRPeVmdvmpnF3QQ==`: "“Create audio transcript” disabled, “Add a timestamp to the recording” disabled, `TIMELINE` _NOT_ generated
- `W1Lc5ICCR7Gwi5cOCTf/8A==`: "“Create audio transcript” disabled, “Add a timestamp to the recording” enabled, `TIMELINE` _NOT_ generated

We would like to investigate if this is a bug. Can you please open a ticket with our [developer support](https://zoom.us/zendesk/sso?return_to=https://support.zoom.us/hc/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360000996591) and provide them with with the ids within the last 10 days so that they could investigate this further?
