Zoom redirect https join meeting request to http and blocked by the browser

Hey @victor_999, @holger.muenzer,

The Zoom Web Client was not designed to work in an iFrame so I would not rely on that.

We will work on improving the sound issues with the Web SDK.

Thanks,
Tommy

Hi @tommy
I know you’ve said the web client is not designed to work in an iframe, but to me it seems like a big security oversight on the part of Zoom to have a redirect over an insecure HTTP connection as any part of the join meeting workflow, whether in a standard browser window or embedded.

I would certainly like to use the SDK, but we need support for breakout rooms, which is currently only available in the web client and not SDK. We were hoping to circumvent the issue for now by embedding the web client but obviously no luck with that.

Any suggestions? Or timeline on breakout room support for the web SDK?

Hey @Ohalo-Inn-Center21,

Currently breakout rooms for the Web SDK are slated for our November release.

We will investigate the http concern. (ZOOM-204572)

Thanks,
Tommy
