# User Maintained Apps--Production or Development?

When creating a user maintained app using the new procedures what state should the app categorized as? Production or Development even when it is completed and tested.

See below picture. When creating a User Managed App and after you know it works, do you keep it in Development mode or Production?

Hey @greg.ross, use the Development client ID when you are making changes to the app, or are building apps for use on your own account. Production is used when your app is published/reviewed on the App Marketplace.
