# Zoom API , add contact for chat?

**Description**  
Hi, we are using zoom api to create an apps that allow company employee to chat / meeting and video call. Would like to ask if this zoom api suitable for the use case stated above. So far, we found out that most of the api above to work with the use case above like setting up meeting , send message and video calling. However, we realise the documentation does not have API for adding contact. If the contact is not added we are not able to send message to each other. Please help.

Hi @engkhai.yap,

At the moment, we do not have an endpoint for Adding a Contact. Currently, you can only GET/List contacts via API. However, this is a great suggestion. If you’re so inclined, you might consider adding this as a feature request here: #feature-requests.
