# Zoom App SDK raises error reason:disabled\_for\_basic\_mode

I have configured and setup the [zoom-advancedsample-react](https://github.com/zoom/zoomapps-advancedsample-react) app and am getting an error from the `zoomSdk.authorize()` function

```auto
Error: No Permission for this API. [code:80007, reason:disabled_for_basic_mode]

```

Can anyone provide some clarity about what this error means and how to resolve it? How can I get my app out of “basic mode”
