# Zoom Error:Joining meeting timeout

We are using Meeting SDK 2.9.0 and our website is stable and has not been changed.

At some point between 25th Oct and 8th Nov something changed and now, when an attendee (not a host) joins an already started meeting via Meeting SDK 2.9.0 (which is embedded into our website, is stable and has not been changed) they receive the message “Joining meeting timeout. Fail to join the meeting”

Within the body section of the page is:

Thanks for reaching out on our Zoom Developer Forum! I’m here to help. I’m curious, does this issue pop up for every user? Have you had a chance to test the participant join flow with our sample App yet? So far, I’m not spotting anything out of the ordinary — it seems like it was working fine and then suddenly stopped, right? If you could, a screenshot of your entire console might give us some more clues. In the meantime, why not give the sample a test run and compare it with your current setup? It might shine a light on any differences causing this hiccup.

So I think the issue is that 2.9.0 is no longer supported and so I need to upgrade to more current version, which should be happening today

Yes - had missed that 2.9.0 had been deprecated, have upgraded and all good now
