Additional context
We have Webinars in which we require registration, but want to be interactive. However, when starting the Webinar, all attendees’ outgoing audio is turned off and we have to click on “Allow To Talk” on every attendee. Is there a way in the API to enable “Allow To Talk” by default?

Hey @steven.wadsworth,

Currently there is no way to enable Allow to Talk by default via the API.

If you want everyone to be able to talk in a webinar, I suggest using meetings which may be a better format.

Thanks,
Tommy

We also need this API. Allow to talk for webinars for beeing interactive

Hey @aminadav,

Thanks for your interest, we will work on adding this to our roadmap.

Hi, @tommy; thanks for the feedback – we also need similar functionality.

Alternatively, if there was an API to enable “Allow to talk” for a particular attendee, we could handle enabling/disabling this in our back-end scripting. Is there an API to enable “allow to talk” for a particular attendee/participant?

Hey @pjkundert,

Thanks for your interest. Currently we do not have an API or SDK function for this.

Stay updated here for when we add it in the future: https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/changelog

+1 - More specifically we need a mode where speaking is permitted by default but video is prevented. For blinded meetings.

Hey @tscott,

Feel free to add this as a feature request here: #feature-requests

Thanks,
