500 Internal Server Error during App Authorisation

Hello, we are having this issue as well. One user got an authentication failure while others had no problems. The error code was 500 - INT_e2ec156707998dfd. We tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it. The error code is now 500 - INT_d736213a390bce66.

To confirm, we are using the same replication steps as above and tried clearing cache. The Slack app is showing in the user’s Zoom marketplace and the “pre-authorize” button is toggled. There seems to be no issue when clicking on Manage or viewing the settings. But when the user types /zoom in Slack, it takes them to the sign-in page to authenticate, and says authentication failure.

Hey @lwylie,

Thank you for reaching out to the Zoom Developer Forum. I just have a couple of questions to help troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Is this a new implementation or has this worked in the past?
  2. Have you confirmed you meet all the prerequisites for the Slack Integration?

Thanks,
Max

Hi @MaxM,

As I said, it works for some users. Are you saying that EVERY Zoom account linked to each individual Slack account must be paid? As this is not the case; many are able to access Zoom in Slack on a free Zoom account.

It is a new implementation and only one user is encountering this issue. In fact, the matching e-mail address does not seem to actually be a requirement? In this case, though, the user in question does have matching e-mail addresses.

Hey @lwylie,

Please send an email to developersupport@zoom.us referencing this thread. Please also include the email of a user that is encountering this issue as well an email of a user where this is working as expected.

Thanks,
Max
