A customised UI for Zoom web client

Hey everybody,

We are going to integrate Zoom into our web site.

I’m investigating Web Client SDK https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/sdk/native-sdks/Web-Client-SDK/overview and have a couple of questions:

  1. Is there a way to fully customize UI? For example, we’d like to place Zoom window with video inside one iframe and all buttons - inside another. And if there are a few attendees, we’d like to put each video in a new iframe. Also, we prefer to remove some Zoom features from UI. Is it possible?

  2. Does computer audio still work only in Chrome?

Hi @Sitting,

Right now the UI is not fully customizable. However you can remove functions for users such as “showInviteFunction” see our reference docs - https://marketplace.zoom.us/docs/sdk/native-sdks/Web-Client-SDK/api-reference.

Also, right now yes Computer Audio still only works for Chrome, we are looking to include Firefox and Edge when they adopt Audio Worklet API.

We do have plans for customizable UI and gallery view for web client in the future, we’re looking for a tentative date of late Q4 2019.

The design is finished, we are in the development phase and are working to release sometime this year.

@tommy Is this planned for something like version 1.8.x, or perhaps 2.x.x?
