App and Links& Support on different domain

We have our docs required for Links & Support section under main domain, but the zoom app is under a subdomain. Is there a way to pass this app submission step in this configuration ?

While Zoom doesn’t explicitly offer a way to directly link to documents hosted on a different domain for the Links & Support section in your app submission, there are a few workarounds you can consider in your situation:

  1. Host Documents on the Subdomain:

If possible, migrate your documentation to a subdirectory or subfolder within the subdomain where your Zoom app resides. This way, you can provide links within the Links & Support section that point directly to your documentation on the same domain as your app.

2. Use Link Shorteners:

Create shortened links for your documentation pages using services like Bitly or TinyURL. These shortened links can then be included in the Links & Support section. Remember to update the shortened links if you modify your documentation URLs.
Make sure shortened links redirect to the intended documentation pages on your main domain. Test them thoroughly.
3. Embed Documentation on Zoom App Page:

Explore options for embedding your documentation directly within your Zoom app’s user interface. This might involve using iframe elements or other embedding techniques. Be mindful of user experience and avoid creating clutter within the app interface.
This approach keeps everything within the Zoom app but requires development work and might not be feasible for all types of documentation.
4. Include Clear Instructions:

If none of the above options are feasible, provide clear instructions in the Links & Support section explaining how users can access your documentation on the main domain. Include the full URL and possibly a screenshot or step-by-step guide.
This approach might be less convenient for users but might be the only option if the others are not suitable.
