Apps now default to the new unified build flow

Starting September 14, 2024, all Marketplace apps will use our new build flow for configuration and setup. The next time you or any collaborator accesses the app, you will be asked to confirm the conversion before you can make changes to the build flow.

There should be no change to your app configuration as part of this build flow conversion process. This new build flow only updates how the app configuration is presented.

There are several types of apps that will not use this new build flow:

  • Server-to-server apps and Webhook-only apps
  • Video SDK apps
  • Meeting SDK apps created before February 2023

Your app’s scopes, permissions, and configurations will not be affected by the conversion, and your users will not need to reauthorize when the conversion is complete.

You can verify your app is working as expected using the Local Test screen in the build flow. You can revert the change using a “Revert” button in a banner at the top of the build flow.

This new build flow represents a unified set of features and access points for developers. Our aim is to help you simplify user authorization, expand access, and reduce app maintenance. For more information, read the developer docs on the new build flow, or our Developer blog:
