Hi team,
We’re using the Zoom Video SDK Toolkit version 2.3.5-1 and are running into a strange one-time audio issue when users first join a session.
Zoom Video SDK Toolkit: 2.3.5-1
Chrome Version 144.0.7559.110
Basically, when one user joins as a host and another joins as a non-host, everything connects fine, but the first time someone unmutes and speaks, the other person can’t hear them at all. There are no errors shown — the mic shows unmuted, permissions are granted, but audio is silent. Once the second participant also unmutes (even briefly), audio suddenly starts working both ways and from that point on everything works normally for the rest of the session.
So it seems like the audio stream doesn’t fully kick in until both participants have toggled unmute once. After that, no issues.
Steps to reproduce are simple: join a session as host, join as non-host, keep both muted at first, unmute either one and speak (no audio heard), then unmute the second participant once and audio starts working normally.
No error messages appear during this.
Has anyone seen something similar or know if this is expected behavior or a known SDK issue?
