Detect Audio type after user join

Description
The error is with CSS. When the device name is too long, the audio options menu is going outside the parent div. This is happening in sample app as well as when we join from the browser. Looks like this is an existing bug.

Is there a way to find out the type of audio (Join Audio by Computer / Phone call / Internet) the user joined in web client sdk as we are trying to fix this from our side ?

Which Web Client SDK version?
1.9.1

To Reproduce(If applicable)
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Join the meeting from sample app or from the browser.
  2. If the device name is too long, the contents of audio options div is going outside.

Hey @priyavarshini.muruga,

While we don’t have a method to obtain the device name that a participant joined with, I think it would be a valuable feature to have the names truncated or to have that option. Do you see this when using the Web Client as well?

If you would like this feature to be considered for a future release, I recommend posting in the #feature-requests category.

Thanks,
Max
