Documentation for Zoom Application development

I am looking for documentation on the creation of Zoom applications that are embedded within the zoom application. I believe these used to be call Zapps. All the documentation I have seen refer to embedding zoom within the developers app rather than the other way around. Am I missing something?

For example, the Miro whiteboard is accessible within the zoom desktop app. I am interested how to do this for our own apps.

Zoom Apps are currently part of a closed beta, which have not yet been released to developers for general availability.
