Generating call backdrop from custom win32 program?

Hi everyone,
I apologize in advance if I put this in wrong forum. I only need someone to point me in the right direction.

So I’ve been asked to add Zoom support to my screensaver.
Precisely: Users would like to use the generated animation as their call backdrop. The screensaver is Win32 and renders via OpenGL. I can easily get the generated graphics and feed it into some API.

My question is basically: Is this supported? If so, do I make DLL plugin, call COM interface, something else? Which SDK do I need? Which API do I call?
