How to start a meeting with default Speaker view?

Hi everyone,

Description
We are condisering using Zoom as a 1 to 1 education platform. So, we’d like to start meetings with default speaker view, which means the students can hide theirselves’ video automaticlly.

Hi dawson,

Thanks for the post. Are you using the default Zoom UI or the Custom UI?

Thanks!

Hi dawson,

You may set the attendee’s video to be off by default by setting the join meeting parameter isVideoOff = true. This would allow the attendee(student)'s to not show their video by default.

Hope this helps. Thanks!

I’m using default Zoom UI right now.
I just would like to hide myself’s video. Is it possible to customize the meeting UI so that I can hide my self automaticlly?

I don’t want to turn anybody’s video off, I just want to hide my video.
Like Right cliking on my video, hide my self.

Hi dawson,

Thanks for the reply. Currently our SDK does not have the interface to control that “Hide my video” feature. I have passed this as a feature request to our engineering team and we will investigate the possibility to add this interface. I will keep you update here. For now, I am afraid this “Hide my video” process and only be done manually.

Hope this helps. Thanks!
