We are using the Zoom Video SDK latest version for our application, and we’ve encountered an issue where the Zoom call is not working as expected when embedded in Epic Hyperspace. We are looking for guidance on how to integrate the Zoom Video SDK seamlessly with the Epic Hyperspace platform.
Could you please provide any insights or solutions on the following:
Are there known compatibility issues between the Zoom Video SDK and Epic Hyperspace?
Are there any specific configuration or setup steps needed to ensure proper functionality within the Epic Hyperspace environment?
Is there any additional support or documentation available for integrating Zoom with Epic Hyperspace?
We would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue and ensuring smooth integration between the two platforms.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to your guidance.
Hi @vinaykumar.t
What’s the platform that you’re trying to use the SDK on? Is it a web browser?
Can you describe the issue in more detail? What’s unexpected?
Hi @ekaansh.zoom Epic Hyperspace is a Windows-based application, and we are currently utilizing the Zoom Video SDK to customize the view of our Zoom calls according to our specific requirements. In our search for an Epic FHIR integration, we came across an app listed on the Zoom Marketplace (App Marketplace).
Our question is: If we integrate Epic FHIR from this app, will it function in conjunction with the Zoom Video SDK, or will it operate independently within the Zoom call environment?
Additionally, I have attached an image showing the issue we encountered when trying to log in with our Zoom Video SDK account. It is not allowing us to configure Epic FHIR, as the “Add Feature” option is disabled.
The Epic FHIR Marketplace app is designed for Zoom Meetings, not the Zoom Video SDK. It won’t integrate directly within your Video SDK-based app.
If you’re looking to integrate Epic Hyperspace with your custom Windows application using Zoom Video SDK, you’ll need to use the native Windows SDK of the Video SDK separately.
Meetings and Video SDK are different platforms - Meetings offers built-in UI, while Video SDK provides full UI customization and requires separate implementation.
Let us know if you need help with the native SDK integration!
We are planning to integrate the Zoom Meeting SDK with Epic Hyperspace as part of our project. We understand that the Epic FHIR app is available on the Zoom Marketplace and is specifically designed for Zoom Meetings, not the Zoom Video SDK.
Given that, could you kindly guide us on how to integrate the Epic FHIR app into our Zoom Meeting SDK environment? We would appreciate any specific steps or resources that will help us with this integration.
Looking forward to your expert guidance on this matter.
To integrate the Epic FHIR app with your Zoom Meeting SDK setup, please ensure the following steps are completed:
Admin Approval: Request your Zoom account admin to allow installation of the Epic FHIR app from the Zoom Marketplace.
Installation: Once approved, install the app either:
From the Zoom Desktop Client, or
By directly navigating to the app’s Marketplace URL.
Once installed, the app will integrate with Zoom Meetings and can be configured to work alongside Epic Hyperspace as needed. Let me know if you’d like a step-by-step walkthrough or help with configuration.
We already have a Zoom admin account and have installed the Zoom desktop client. Could you please guide us on the next steps for the Epic FHIR integration?
Specifically:
Configuration documentation or guide – Do you have a link to Zoom’s official documentation or a step‑by‑step configuration guide that covers:
We have successfully set up a new Video SDK application and have verified its functionality within the Epic Hyperspace environment. The following settings are operating as expected: External Browser, Floating Chromium Window, and Floating Window (which closes on switch). However, we are encountering issues with the Embedded and Sidebar settings, which are not functioning as anticipated.
Could you kindly assist in troubleshooting this matter? Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could confirm whether the Zoom Video SDK is compatible with the Embedded and Sidebar settings.
Hello @Elvaric
We are currently using Zoom Video SDK in the Epic Hyperspace, and while it was functioning properly with the External Browser, Floating Window, and Floating Chromium Window, we are having problems with the Embedded and Sidebar settings.
