iPad OS Kiosk Bluetooth Printing

Currently, we are unable to print badges directly from our Zoom Rooms Kiosk application running on iPads. We would like to request the development of this feature to streamline our badge printing process

We need the ability to print badges directly from our Zoom Rooms Kiosk on iPads. This feature would greatly streamline our badge printing process. Please consider adding this capability.

While I’d love to see visitor badges printed from iPads, I’m not particularly interested in the “Bluetooth” feature.
iPadOS (and iOS) offer printing capabilities through AirPrint. The Brother QL-820NWB is a widely used label printer for visitor check-in iPads globally. It’s a network/Wi-Fi label printer that supports AirPrint, allowing the iPad to print directly to it without any additional apps or drivers.
Additionally, this label printer is already recommended and supported in the Zoom ‘badge printing’ support documentation.
So, all we’re truly requesting is the ability for iPads already running Kiosk to print to already supported printers.

On the other hand, it seems that currently, you need a room license for the iPad kiosk and a separate room/kiosk license for a PC/Mac to run the Printer Agent.

So from a dev-perspective, while this request seems difficult on the surface, under the hood, it’s really just using already available iPadOS infrastructure and system-calls. It’s low hanging fruit - a quick win!
