There’s currently no way of purchasing phone numbers through the API. For example doing a search based on an area code, then selecting an available number and purchasing it.

It would be awesome to get an API for something like this implemented.
Describe alternatives you’ve considered
Integrating Telnyx with Zoom using cloud peering. Use Telnyx API to purchase numbers and then use Zoom API for assigning the number to a user. We’d prefer a native Zoom solution.
