Requesting Raw Data Entitlement for Meeting SDK - Mediscribe Consultation

Hello Zoom Developer Support Team,

I am writing to request the “Raw Data” entitlement for our application utilizing the Meeting SDK.

Here are the details of our application:

  • App Name: MediscribeAI Consultation

  • Client ID: c5i4Tc92QAG1insj1fbxUg

  • App Type: General App (with Meeting SDK enabled)

Our Use Case: We are developing a project called “Mediscribe Consultation”. Our application acts as a medical scribe assistant. We need access to the raw audio/video data stream during Zoom meetings to feed it into our Speech-to-Text (STT) AI models for real-time transcription and consultation note generation.

Data Privacy & Security: We take data privacy very seriously. The raw media data is only processed temporarily in memory for real-time transcription purposes and is never stored or recorded permanently. We ensure that all processing complies with data protection regulations and that participants are aware of the bot’s presence.

Please let us know if you need any further information, documentation, or a demo video to approve this request.

Thank you for your time and support!

Best regards,

Chinh

Hi Chinh,

You do not need a specific Raw Data entitlement to be granted for your Meeting SDK application. You should already be able to access raw data in the meeting! This is confirmed by Zoom staff in this thread and elsewhere.

Are you running into issues when trying to start a raw recording on your end?

As an alternative, you might want to look into Recall.ai’s Meeting Bot API to record Zoom meetings. This will allow you to get recordings, transcripts and more information from meetings without the need for you to manage the infrastructure on your end.
