We have a Zoom App that receives Meeting and RTMS webhooks, and manually starts RTMS for select meetings.
Scenario:
User X connects to a meeting, using Zoom Workplace, with the RTMS transcript enabled.
User X joins the meeting using computer audio.
When User X speaks, RTMS transcript data is received by the consumer.
User X clicks on “Switch to phone audio”.
User X immediately dials into the number and enters their Meeting ID and their Participant ID (with Computer audio - Connected)
User X is told that they have joined the meeting.
User X’s meeting audio transitions from Computer audio to phone.
User X’s Zoom Workplace Computer audio changes to Disconnected.
RTMS transcript data stops for User X.
If the Zoom App is stopped and (re-)started by the Host, User X will start generating RTMS transcript data again.
If User X hangs up the phone, and unmutes their Computer audio, their RTMS transcript data resumes.
If User X chooses “Leave computer audio” before dialing in, with a Participant ID, we continue to receive RTMS transcript data after they connect with the phone.
We’ve tried and retried this MANY times.
- If you “Leave computer audio” before dialing in, RTMS transcript data continues, after the transition to phone audio.
- If you dial-in with “Computer audio - Connected”, RTMS data stops, after the transition to the phone audio.
I am assuming that this is unintended / a bug.
I’d appreciate it if you could look into this.
Thanks.
