Token and Server Requirements for Android App Using Zoom Meeting SDK

Hello Zoom Developer Forum,

I hope everyone is doing well. I am planning to develop an app with the following configuration and would appreciate your guidance.

App Configuration:
・Android application
・Using Zoom Meeting SDK
・Users join a meeting by entering the following information:
Meeting ID
Passcode
Display name
・The app will join meetings hosted by other Zoom accounts
・Apps that join meetings outside the user’s account require approval. To meet this requirement, the app will obtain either an OBF token or a ZAK token (implementing a user login flow)

Questions:

  1. With the above configuration, which token is required: ZAK or OBF?
    ・JWT + ZAK token
    ・JWT + OBF token
  2. With the above configuration, is a proprietary server required?
    In other words, the app would exchange authorization codes, access tokens, and ZAK (or OBF) tokens directly with Zoom servers. Is it possible to develop an app with this architecture and register it on the Zoom Marketplace?
