Are there ever releases which would change the API significantly enough to break the current version of our SDK 's current implementation? And if so how soon could we be notified about those release to go ahead and have something in place so as to not interrupt service for our users?

Zoom SDK support backward compatibility. If we release new sdk that has huge changes, we will post here a week ahead and you can choose to upgrade or not.
