Zoom App will not download on Lenovo Yoga 720-13IKB (Type 81C3)

Description
When I attempt to download Zoom on my lenovo laptop, the installer open and produce an “error code 1005”. It will not install the app and so I have been using the Chrome zoom version instead. I need to download to app in order to efficiently manage and run communications for my job.

Which version?
Version 5.3.0 (52670.0921)

To Reproduce(If applicable)
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Select ‘download zoom for windows’
  2. Once download is completed, click on ‘installer.exe’
  3. Sometimes this results in a sudden flash of installer box and then it disappears. Other times, it will result in “error 1005”

Lenovo Yoga 720-13IKB (Type 81C3)

Additional context
I have not been able to download zoom for months. I use a SSC school log in through my account with the University of Central Florida.

I have the same problem with my Lenovo Yoga C940!!! Did you find a solution?

I am sorry the app wont install on your machine, that sounds very frustrating! Unfortunately, this forum is specifically for the developer community using the Zoom Windows SDK. However, the people at https://support.zoom.us/ should be able to help resolve this issue :slight_smile:
