Zoom for IT Admins Installer
Description
The Zoom for IT admins app does not install the M-Chip version on M series macs, which causes the Dual Screen setting to be unavailable. This causes users to need to go and download a seperate version of the app to get full functionality or for us admins to have to write install logic based on processor type to go and fetch the proper installer. The Zoom for IT admins installer should be able to recognize the processor type and install the correct version for the machine.

Install Zoom using the Zoom for IT admins.
Yes, specifically the “Zoom Workplace desktop app for Meetings (for IT Admins)” installer.
We use this version to install on our fleet of Macs via MDM, but M-Series computers are crippled by not having the dual screens setting available. Users then need to go and separately download the M-Chip version of the software on their own in order to use this function.
Ideally we would be able to use the IT Admins installer to install the correct version of the software on our fleet from the jump, to eliminate additional helpdesk requests! Users have reported issues with not being able to use the Dual Monitors feature, and that we are installing the wrong version of Zoom on M-Series devices when they discover the solution is to download the M-Chip version from the Zoom site.
FWIW, Zoom support directed me here from my support request to report this issue, but I’m not sure this is the proper place to make this request either. It seems it might be my only other option at this point to try to get a working universal installer though.
