I want to access the video/camera during a Zoom call to gather metrics about the call (this may include details of the person’s surroundings- eg, home, office, or on the move).
Is there an API available that hooks into the video call/camera?
Can metrics be seamlessly displayed within Zoom’s UI?
If so, what would be the best approach?

Unfortunately this is not available on the Zoom API platform, unless you are analyzing recording files.
You will probably have to build an app outside of the Zoom Platform that users install that analyzes their video feed.
