Audio Feedback Suppression

Our team is using the latest IOS version (v1.12.10) of the Zoom Video SDK. We use it to share screen, audio and video between users and have a requirement that the microphone stays ON at all times. In some situations, we have users play audio through their speakers locally. However, that audio seems to get captured by the microphone and is transmitted across to other users creating an echo effect. We want app audio heard clearly by the other meeting participant but don’t want it echoing or bouncing repeatedly after that.

  1. Does zoom provide a way for feedback suppression of app audio? We want to filter out the audio coming out of a user’s speaker and instead only transmit the voice conversations between users.
  2. How can we prevent the device audio volume from being reduced when a zoom session is going on and microphone stays ON and an audio is being played locally?
