Any progress on being able to disable virtual backgrounds? Hopefully a solution is available now, or at least real soon now. Hard to believe such a gaping hole in security takes 3 years to fix. 
I gave up trying to figure this out and stopped following this. Our meetings have gotten small and haven’t been bombed in a long time.
I noticed this is a “developer” forum - I’m not sure if that means this is where the actual developers of Zoom get reports/suggestions or if it’s for 3rd parties adding external/app stuff to zoom? Maybe this should have gone to a different user/community forum that Zoom monitors? This seemed like the best place (or maybe the only one I could find) when the issue presented to me.
I think its important to have the ability to turn off allowing people to have virtual background because that is where Zoom bombers play their porn videos to disrupt the meetings
To prevent participants from using virtual background in zoom meeting, ensure that you have disabled the virtual background at account setting. Consider updating the latest version of app and verify the user permission are configured to prevent user from changing the background setting.
