Can't find meaning of errorCode 4006: JOIN_MEETING_FAILED

Meeting SDK Web v. 2.18.2 Component

I came across a user that tried to join a meeting (it’s not clear whether the meeting was started by the host or not) and it resulted an errorCode 4006. They got this error 8 times in the span of about 7 minutes. When they tried again they got a 3008 errorCode (meeting not started), and after trying one last time they were finally connected. Could I get some assistance understanding what the 4006 errorCode is?

I have not seen this error before and I am not able to replicate it
Has this happened more than once? are you able to replicate it on your end and if so, could you record the screen?

Error 4006 might mean that the meeting is locked (typically by the host)

I’m a little surprised that there isn’t an official list of these error codes and what they mean, whether public or internal. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I have not been able to reproduce it, but it’s happened to my users 1,280 times in the last 30 days, so it’s an issue.

@chunsiong.zoom how might the host lock the meeting from the native Zoom app? Is that a global setting somewhere, or something that is done per-meeting? I may be able to educate them not to do that. But it would also be great to get confirmation that this error code actually means that the meeting is locked.

@fpapa_spring this is a setting the host sets during meeting. This is done in the participant tab, … menu, lock meeting
