Clarification Needed on DSA Requirements for Our App

Hello!

We received an email suggesting that we might not have fulfilled all the requirements for the DSA.

Here’s what we’ve done so far:

After November 25th, when the policy changes by Zoom to comply with the DSA requirements came into effect, we completed the moderation process and submitted the company information form on December 24th. We also filled out the required Google Form with all necessary company details.

Could you please clarify if there are any additional actions we need to take to comply with the DSA requirements? If so, could you provide details on the next steps?

Hi @PartnersKom
thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Zoom Developer Community!
I can take a look into this, could you please share the name of your app with me so I can reach out to the Marketplace team

The name of the application is Kommo

Hi @PartnersKom ,

I have just doubled checked this app and it seems that you are missing the private information under DSA. We apologize for the confusion regarding the process. While we initially approved your app without requiring additional information, we have since been informed that this data is necessary to ensure compliance with EU DSA requirements.

Specifically, the ‘You seek to earn income through your application or services connected to it’ checkbox must be checked by any app that is owned and maintained by a valid business entity, as opposed to an individual hobbyist developer.

Since your app is associated with a business, you will need to resubmit it with this information to ensure it remains accessible to EU Zoom customers.

We appreciate your understanding as we work through these requirements and are here to assist you if you have any questions or need further clarification.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Hello,

In the documentation at Zoom App Submission - Updating, it states:

“Changes to the metadata of your application such as the description, name or images, only need to go through the functional review without undergoing an additional functional test.”

Could you please clarify:

Does “functional review without undergoing an additional functional test” refer to a metadata review, or does it also include any system-level checks?
Thank you for your assistance!

Hey @PartnersKom
any metadata change will only need functional review.
But if you make changes to scopes or webhookss, then it will need an additional functional test

We have made the necessary changes to our application based on the feedback provided earlier and submitted it for re-moderation. The application has now successfully passed the review and received approval.

Could you kindly confirm if everything is in order and no further actions are required on our side? If there are any additional steps or information needed, please let us know.

Thank you for your continued support!

If you passed the latest review and made the changes according to the feedback and those were accepted, you should be good to go! no more actions needed
