Clarification on DSA Compliance and App Availability for EU Users

Hello!

I received an email with the subject “Action Required: Submit information about your company to Zoom by February 17, 2025 or risk being suspended from the Zoom App Marketplace.”

I have two questions regarding this:

  1. I understand that updating the settings is only required if the app is available to EU users. However, we are not aware that our app is being provided to EU users. How can we verify whether our app is accessible to EU users? We are concerned that our app might actually be available in the EU without our knowledge, leading to its removal.

  2. If updating the settings is necessary, we would like to follow the instructions and submit the required information. However, we are unsure where to configure this. Could you provide us with the URL to the settings page?

Thank you!

Hello,

This is a new requirement, so you didn’t have the option before, if you decide to make your app available now, please go ahead and fill out the information and submit. If not you can decline, We cannot check your user base and determine if you have users in the EU, you have to make that determination yourself.

Hello Kwaku!

Our app is: Guidebook Meeting Integration

We got the DSA email as well.
I went ahead and toggled “List my app in the EU” to False since we do not need anyone to add our app.

I understand that this means that my app will not be listed in the Zoom marketplace:
“In order for users in the EU to add your app, regulations require additional information to be collected”

Will that have any affect on EU users using the SDK integration in our own application? Or is this only going to delist our app in Zoom EU marketplace?

Is there a way to delist our app in US marketplace? We do not need this. We use the SDK for our own application.

Thank you in advance,
Kurt

Hello,

Thank you for your message, we have an unlisted app type but you would need to submit your app for unpublishing then submit your app for Publishing and select the unlisted discoverability option.

Declining the DSA Compliance will remove app availability for EU users so yes they cannot use the app in any capacity if there located in the EU.
